How it works

An AI clone is a digital version of a real colleague, made from a single recording of image and voice. You type a text in your own language and the clone speaks it in a video, in 90 languages, with the same face and the same voice. At Clonefy, that is always someone from your own organisation, recorded on location, and every video carries a label stating that it was made with AI.

Clonefy is a multilingual training platform from Groningen. We make an AI clone of a colleague, which organisations use to create their own explainer videos in 90 languages for onboarding, work instructions and safety, with quiz questions and results per employee.

No. We record once. After that, you make a new video by typing a text, and the clone speaks it, in the languages you choose. Nobody has to stand in front of the camera again for that.

You do, with help from the platform. You paste an existing instruction, or you describe what you want to explain and the platform writes the script, based on your own documents and in your tone. You don't need any AI knowledge for it.

The clone explains; it doesn't pick up a mop itself. You show tasks with your own photos or short clips, which you place in the video while the clone explains. Or you film the task once in your own language and translate that video into other languages in the platform, with the voice of the person themselves.

Then you edit the text in your own language and make the video again, without a new recording. The other languages follow along. The new version does come out of your credit again.

A standalone avatar tool is made for creating videos. Clonefy is built to explain to employees in their own language how the work is done, and to see whether it landed. So a recording of your own colleague on location, all languages in one go, one link for everyone, quiz questions and results per employee. And we help at the start and afterwards.

With onboarding: a short welcome module for new employees. That way they get to know the clone before it gives work instructions. Work instructions and safety usually follow. In the demo, we choose a first project together.

If you need to explain something to people who don't all speak the same language, there is a good chance it fits. We started in cleaning and now also work in industrial cleaning, healthcare, childcare and resident communication. Not sure? Bring it to a demo and we'll tell you honestly whether it fits.

The clone and the recording

A real colleague. We record someone from your own organisation, on location and in your own work clothes. No stock avatar and no clone made from a photo. Every video carries a label saying it was made with AI: being open about AI works better than hiding it.

We come to your location for half a day, with camera, lighting and sound. Beforehand, we explain in a short online briefing what will happen. It takes about an hour per person: a quick voice recording, then a few short takes. Nothing to learn by heart, and it doesn't matter what you say. All we ask of you is a quiet room and a colleague willing to say a few words on camera.

A familiar face that employees recognise and who is likely to stay: the director, a site manager or someone from HR. In one day we record up to three colleagues, for example one for work instructions and one for HR matters. If nobody wants to be on camera, we'll discuss together what is possible.

The videos that have already been made keep working. How long you can keep making new videos with the clone afterwards is something you agree with that colleague in advance, and we help with that agreement. After that, another colleague can become a clone, with a new recording.

Employees

No app and no account. Employees open a link or scan a QR code and watch on their own phone. The video starts in the language of their phone, and anyone who wants can choose another. You share the link via WhatsApp, email, a QR code on location or your own app or intranet.

Put the video in a module with a few quiz questions. Every employee gets their own link, and you see per person who watched, who passed and who hasn't started yet. Anyone who passes gets a certificate. You download the results as an Excel file.

That's why it's video instead of text: people who struggle with reading can still watch and listen. The link opens straight on the phone, without an app or account. We recommend short videos of around a minute, and you can see who has watched.

Yes. You download each language version as a separate file, with the AI label included, for example for a group chat. You do lose the language choice in the player, and you can't see who watched. Watching via the link requires internet on the phone.

Time and investment

A one-off amount from €3,500 for the recording day, your AI clone, the setup and the onboarding, with 60 minutes of video to get started. After that, from €395 per month for the licence: access to your clone and the platform, and all your videos and modules stay online. You pay for making new videos per minute, only when you make them. Both amounts are exclusive of VAT, and not per employee or per viewer. In a half-hour demo we calculate it for your situation.

The minutes are about making videos, not watching them. Every language version counts: a one-minute video in five languages is five minutes. Watching is unlimited, for all employees. The start includes 60 minutes, and if you need more, you buy extra minutes. They stay valid for a year, so you are not tied to a monthly allowance. You see what a video requires before you make it.

With the licence, everything that is already there keeps working: your AI clone, all your videos online in the multilingual player, the modules with quiz questions and the results. Production capacity is deliberately not included. That way you don't pay every month for videos you don't make, and you buy minutes when you need them.

A 30-minute demo, half a day of recording at your location, with about an hour per person, and an onboarding of 30 to 45 minutes. The clone is ready about a week after the recording, and from the recording day you can count on about two weeks until your first video. After that, a video takes you a few minutes of work, plus a 10 to 15 minute wait.

The licence runs for twelve months and is invoiced monthly. After that, it can be cancelled monthly. An extra clone can be added at any time.

Privacy and ownership

Only with the consent of the colleague we record. We record that consent on the recording day, and beforehand we agree together what the clone will be used for and what happens if that colleague leaves.

With certified processors, encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to those who need it. Processing takes place in accordance with the GDPR, with a data processing agreement between us and you.

How it works exactly

  • The video processor has a SOC 2 Type II report and is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, with its own Data Protection Officer in Europe.
  • Encryption with TLS 1.2 or higher in transit and AES-256 at rest.
  • Storage takes place in the United States. Transfers from the EU run via the Data Privacy Framework and the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.
  • Data is deleted after the agreed retention period, or earlier on request.
  • The voice processor works with a data processing agreement with the same EU standard contractual clauses, reports incidents without undue delay and makes a SOC 2 Type II report available on request.
  • Would you like the full documentation, including the list of sub-processors and the audit reports? Email support@clonefy.ai.

Read the privacy policy

You have an exclusive licence to the clone for as long as the subscription runs. The videos are yours and can still be downloaded after cancellation. On cancellation, the multilingual player stops, and with it the links and modules stop working.

Read the terms

No. It is contractually agreed with our processors that your material is not used for model training.

Since August 2026, videos featuring an AI version of a person must be clearly labelled. Clonefy does this by default, in the player and in downloaded files, so you don't need to do anything extra.

Languages

The translation is good, but not flawless. The platform translates for meaning, not word for word, and you can review, listen to and adjust every language version sentence by sentence. For important instructions, we recommend a check by a colleague who speaks the language.

90 languages, including Polish, Ukrainian, Turkish, Arabic, Romanian and English. For each video you choose which languages to make, and all language versions sit behind the same link.

Ask us. Some languages and dialects are available on request, others not yet. In the demo, we look at which languages you need.

Another question?

Ask it in a 30-minute demo. We look at your situation and tell you honestly whether it fits.
